Three Hair Growth Cycles

Hair is my business. No, I am not talking about cutting, coloring, or perming the hair on your head. I specialize in body hair removal and maintenance, which includes the face. I love supporting my clients by educating, engaging, and maintaining their mental well-being and body hair.

Many of my clients have no idea there are three hair growth stages. If you shave your body hair, it is all the same length. If you don’t pay attention to your body hair then it may look like it is all one length or sometimes it comes off the body. Hair is not complicated, yet, it can be mentally draining.

There are three stages of hair growth: Anagen, Catagen, and Telogen. The only growing stage of hair is Anagen Hair Growth. This is the best time to remove your face and body hair because it is being weakened with removal when it is at the strongest stage. The second phase of hair growth is the Catagen Phase. At this state, hair growth is transitioning from growing to slowing down or becoming dormant. The last phase of hair growth is the Telogen Stage when hair stops growing.

This cycle continues all our life and slows down with age. If your hair removal goal is to feel comfortable in your own skin with the hair you have, sugaring can help you take control of the body hair. Hair grows everywhere, for some it is not a big deal, but for so many it is a nuisance. At Mold Sugar, I hope to help sweeten your day so you can  become more comfortable with your hair, body, and mind!
