What You Need To Know

Pre Treatment

Before your appointment

• Make sure you have at least 14-21 days of hair growth in the area where the hair will be removed. The longer the hair, the easier it can be removed.

• Most clients are nervous and scared before their first-ever hair removal experience. This is NORMAL. Just relax. Breathe. Take a chill pill. You get my drift. Really, it’s not as bad as you think it might be! Promise.

• As close to your appointment as possible, take a shower and thoroughly wash any parts that will be sugared.

• Bring clean clothing for after your sugar appointment, especially clothing that is directly touching your skin. My suggestions are a clean t-shirt or underwear.

Hygiene and prepping your skin

This is very important. The best way to prep your skin and hair for sugaring is to exfoliate the day before or the day of your appointment. If you have super long hair, please tidy up a little bit if possible, and trim your bits. DO NOT shave, just a trim.

Also, please make sure to refresh yourself prior to your appointment and thoroughly clean the area that will be sugared. Any unclean bits will be bypassed.

How long do I have to let my hair grow out after shaving?

Any technician will need at least 14 days of hair growth for removal. This is very important because the sugar needs something to grab onto so that it can be removed effectively. I prefer 21 days worth of hair growth so that the hair comes out with ease.

Post Treatment

After your appointment

• Exfoliate and moisturize the sugared area every day post treatment. This is most important for people who get ingrown hairs. The best lotion to use is a water-based lotion (meaning the product’s first ingredient is water). If you’re unsure on what to use, I can recommend exfoliation products and lotions that I sell on site.

• Abstain from sweaty or naughty activities for 8 hours after service is conducted.

Caution: Get ready to act a little indecent. Sugar Hair Removal causes people to want to scream to their friends and family that they are “hair free”...sometimes adding “down there”. You’ve been warned!

Book your next appointment

I recommend my clients come back in 3-5 weeks for a clean up. If your desired result is permanent hair reduction, then reschedule consistent appointments at 3,4, or 5 weeks depending on your abilites.
